John's priority is that JFJ clients leave the salon feeling fantastic about their hair and themselves. Passionate about hairdressing, he trained in top salons in Scotland, then Sydney, Australia, before opening his first salon in prominent Rose Street, Edinburgh. London called him south where he worked for exclusive salons in Soho and Toni & Guy, Wimbledon; opening John Fraser Jenkins in partnership with his wife, Jane, in 2002. His strengths are in both contemporary and classic women’s and men’s creative cuts, including beards & barbering, suiting the clients’ lifestyle, bone structure and self-image. He's up for any demanding and advanced hair challenge and any hair texture. John personally oversees the technical training of the team from Saturday Workers to senior staff keeping them motivated and on point.  He has a great sense of humour and loves his clients and the team.  He fully supports Aveda's message of a plant based diet and cruelty-free living.

@linella_hair_artist Specialities: Women’s restyles, men’s creative hairdressing, barbering + skin fade specialist - classic-modern to funky, classic short, or structured hair cuts. Soft elegant and stylish cuts, short pixie and short classic cuts, razor cuts, classic soft curl, curly hair & bouncy volume blow-dries…with the aid of Aveda. Linella is calm in her approach to her work with a personalised consultation, a listener and takes into account clients’ individual needs. In contrast to her Italian roots, she is quietly confident and will help you relax allowing you some chill-out time. Linella is passionate about hairdressing and established a successful career with Toni & Guy, Kingston as Assistant Manager. With 25+ years experience, Linella is Artistic Director and part of the management team at John Fraser Jenkins. Works Tuesdays, late night Wednesdays & Saturdays.  She is our Cutting in-Salon Educator.  

@hair_by_oliviajfj Our longest serving team member, celebrates 18 years with JFJ in 2025. Works alternate Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays and 1st + 3rd Sat of the month. Specialities:  Technically excellent full head highlights with Aveda's Botanical Repair strengthening treatment, balayage, all colouring services, graduated and classic bobs and lobs (“Bob-Lights”). She loves sleek, glamour looks, Bridal, Prom and Occasion hair, has great colour placement and has perfected the best ever highlights, Aveda Deep to lighten naturally very dark hair. Strong in colouring, men’s cutting - her aim is for clients to feel great about themselves and leave the salon with a confidence boost. Olivia has proved her dedication to the craft since joining JFJ. Great for an enthusiastic good old noisy gossip, guaranteed good time and never a dull moment. Olivia is part of the management team at John Fraser Jenkins.

BACK from Maternity Leave on Fridays Amy is an industry leading Aveda Pure Colour Master, among only the elite Aveda Colourists to be awarded this qualification, high quality hair colour artistry mixed with the science and innovation behind Aveda.  Specialities: Prom & Bridal Hair up & all aspects of hairdressing including women's contemporary, fashion and classic and cuts, men's cuts.  All aspects of advanced cutting, adventurous fashion colouring and advanced balayage, baby-lights and dip dye lifting blondes with Botanical Repair strengthening treatment, scalp bleach, classic colours as well as Aveda Deep to lighten naturally very dark hair.  All styling and blowdrying. Amy has a very calm and uplifting nature and is dedicated to her job, takes her work seriously and is really loved by her clients.  Amy is our Sustainability Events Co-ordinator, including Earth Month for charity:water.  Every Friday plus Thurs 18th Dec.

@danda_crisan.  Daniela is an industry leading Aveda Senior Colour Master, among only the elite Aveda Colourists to be awarded this qualification; hair colour artistry mixed with the science and innovation behind Aveda.  Master in advanced free-hand balayage, detailed bespoke hand painting, colour change, advanced colour and fashion services using Aveda's Botanical Strengthening Repair treatment.  A passionate technical expert with artistic flair.  Expert in Bridal hair up and glam prom hair, braids with a modern twist and expert in all blow dries. Contemporary and classic cuts, layers, bobs, cropped cuts. Daniela represented Aveda at London Fashion Week for Vin & Omi  AW20 collection, 'Resist'.  She thrives on education and constantly updates her skills via many education events. Confident to lead your consultation and give you ideas. Daniela was crowned UK Vish Waste Warrior 2024 producing the least hair colour waste!  She also leads our Apprentice in-salon eduction for colour and styling. As well as English, she speaks fluent Romanian, Italian, some Spanish and is learning Portuguese!

@hairby_gracefraser Specialities:  Expert in glam bouncy blow dries, Prom/hair up/bridal both modern and classic, braiding. Colour; passion for hand balayage bespoke to each client, and strong in all other colour services, red colours adding dimension and classic highlights.  Contemporary cuts from classic bobs to long beachy layers as well as men's hairdressing, barbering and girl's and boy's cuts. Day and occasion make-up for a natural or made-up effect, or a quick touch up for anything you find tricky. Grace F has an approachable, friendly nature, she is an excellent communicator having previously worked as airline cabin crew.  You might recognise her as she previously worked as a Stylist at the now closed Saks in David Lloyd, Cheam.

@hairby_ajjoyce  Our Stylist & Aveda Colour Designer, Amy's always happy, confident and efficient showing her passion for hairdressing through fabulous services.  She loves all blonding services - full head highlights and balayage, face framing, tints, waving, pin curl setting, bouncy blow dries, hair ups, classic women's longer length cuts with bangs, older girl's longer length cuts, and confident with classic shorter cuts.  Amy J is our Aveda Certified Scalp Expert and will assess scalp conditions and refer to the proper medical professional if needed.  Our in salon Scalp Renewal Head Spa (75mins) is available exclusively with Amy, the Scalp Renewal Treatment (15mins) is available with all of the team.  Due to her experience hair prices are better value, may require longer timings and always coming with the same JFJ quality.

@emilyleonardhair Emily joins us as having qualified in Level 3 Hairdressing as a mature student. She works Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and is available for classic colours - tints and highlights, balayage, classic women's and girl's cuts (longer length and bobs) and blow dries.  You will get the same JFJ standard which may take a little longer due to her growing experience.  Also performing Botanical Repair & Hair Treatments, Masque Treatments.  Stock control and merchandising. Emily has a calm and professional personality (having a young family has taught her patience!) and as a mature student quickly found her passion for the hair industry having originally worked for Estee Lauder Head Office, she has great customer service and personal confidence helping guests to feel welcome.

Grace is working on the floor offering New Talent tints, partial highlights + tints, classic longer length women's cuts, (short cuts book via reception), girl's cuts, long wavy blow dries and glamour hair-ups at great value, bookable online having finished her NVQ2 Hairdressing at Aveda Academy and JFJ.  She confidently assists with shampooing, Aveda Botanical Repair Strengthening Treatment, Botanical Scalp & Hair Treatments, Botanical Repair & Nutriplenish Masque Treatments.  She also helps with control stock and general assisting and works on reception as Salon Host.  Grace is a confident, natural hairdresser, with great attention to detail, and dedication to her craft; due to her level she may require dual consultations with another stylist.

Emma is taking bookings having completed her NVQ2 with JFJ and Aveda Academy having worked as a Part Time during her GCSEs.  You can book New Talent One Length Cuts and some tint services online; classic long cuts, girls cuts, blow dries - long hair, short hair and bouncy with all other colour services via reception. Always professional, confident and efficient with a sunny disposition. She looks after clients’ needs in the salon and at the back wash; shampooing and therapeutic head massage and general assistant;  due to her level she may require dual consultations with another stylist.  Emma is our Sustainability and Recycling Champion.

Jessie is such a hard working Head Assistant, and is reliable core member of staff.  NVQ2 qualified, Jessie has a column of quality prom & occasion hair ups.  Monday + Friday parting tints can be booked online, New Talent Tints can be made by emailing or phoning the salon.  Always smiling and aiming to please Jessie loves being part of the team, and always looks effortlessly busy.  She assists the stylists by making drinks, general housekeeping and washing hair including Botanical Scalp & Hair Treatments, Masque Treatments , blast dries and ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.  She assists with retailing, and can help you identify the best products to suit your hair.  

Halle, Hairdressing Assistant in her second year of Apprenticeship NVQ2 with JFJ and Aveda. Halle is becoming confident, always busy and really enjoying working towards becoming a Hairdresser.  She is responsible for shampooing, complimentary therapeutic hand & head massage, Botanical Scalp & Strengthening Hair Treatments, Masque Treatments blast dries and ensures everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.  She is also developing a love for plant care in the salon!

Jas, one of our Hairdressing Assistants in her second year of Apprenticeship NVQ2 with JFJ and Nescot College. She's outgoing, chatty and confident, and responsible for shampooing, complimentary therapeutic hand & head massage, Botanical Scalp & Hair Treatments, Masque Treatments and New Talent longer bouncy and straight blow dries bookable online and ensuring everything behind the scenes runs smoothly.

Our Head Receptionist and salon host, Penny has worked in Cheam in retail for many years and is well known for her bubbly confidence and multitasking. Penny can help you with all your bookings, recommendations of services in an approachable and empathetic way and with endless patience. She job-shares with Jane to host the salon reception, she maintains the client database and bookings. As our Aveda Product Ambassador, has extensive knowledge of our Aveda products, including beauty products and can advise on home purchases for our clients and helps to look after our visual merchandising displays, she helps to train the team on new product launches.  Ask Penny to join our Aveda Rewards program.  She also maintains our Aveda Pure Rewards Cards, Gift Cards and stock.

Jane is Front of House and works part time supporting Penny and the team with booking appointments, advising guests with retail products and packages to keep their hair and skin looking its' best.  Ask Jane to join our Aveda Rewards program. With a background in fashion retail and local to Cheam, Jane has a great rapport with clients and has an easy confidence hosting our salon.

With a background in Art and Fashion, the creative element of hairdressing has always interested Jane.  She loves supporting and developing the team and when she’s not in the salon, can often be found behind her Mac screen, developing the business!  Jane is responsible for the overall management of the hair, wellbeing & beauty salon, research and development, recruitment, booking external training for the team with our support brands; Aveda, CACI & Orly Nails. The creative and friendly salon atmosphere reflects the nurturing relationship John and Jane have with the team…and she fully supports the core message of Aveda to use plant based products, love our planet and eat less meat.  Jane is our Eco-Manager driving us to become a sustainable hair salon, having recently achieved Green Mark level 1, we are always striving to become a kinder, greener, cleaner company.  She is also our Plant-Lady!
